Lil Mikey loves nothing more than getting pet by strangers, treats, playing at the dog park, and sniffing sniffs with his pack. This is what we do for him when it's a special day like his birthday.

Rock Creek Park

Park· Northwest Washington

Lil Mikey loves to sniff along the trails. We try to go to one he hasn't been to before (or in a while) as a treat

Takoma Dog Park

We go to the dog park close to the next couple of stops, and stay as until HE is ready to leave

The Big Bad Woof

This local pet store is one of his favorite places, and he paws at the door to get in. We let him pick out a toy or a treat of his choosing (but he always chooses a treat). He's allergic to chicken, and they have plenty of options.

Starbucks Coffee Company

In the same small strip of stores as Big Bad Woof, there's a Starbucks where he enjoys a pup cup

National Mall

Park· Southwest Washington

The Mall is a great place to meet strangers. Tourists who miss their dogs love to ooh and ahh and ask if they can pet him. He is always happy to oblige.

Wonderland's patio is where he wants to go every day, every week.

Barrilito Bar & Restaurant

Restaurant· Petworth

Dinner time: steak taco from Barrilito, his favorite restaurant. They will make a plain steak taco. He thinks it's torture to wait until it's cooled down, though.

Quiet Time

Back home, and lights off. Once the sun goes down, he wants darkness and quiet so we better shut up and watch him sleep.
